Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

Badí‘ doesn’t collect any data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to me.

This policy covers the Badí‘ app and its widgets for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by Armin Haghi.

Your location

Badí‘ days begin at sunset, so the app needs to know roughly where you are. With your permission, it uses your device’s approximate location, which iOS and macOS provide to within a few miles. The app keeps the position only to about half a mile and stores it on your device, where the Badí‘ widgets can read it.

While the app is allowed to use your location, it checks it again at most about once a day when you open the app, so the calendar follows you if you travel. It never uses your location in the background.

You don’t have to share your location. You can search for a city instead, and you can turn location access off at any time in Settings.

Services from Apple

To show the name of the place you’re in, and to find a city when you search for one, Badí‘ uses Apple’s map services. Your approximate position or the text you type is sent to Apple to get the answer. Apple handles this under the Apple Privacy Policy. Badí‘ doesn’t send it anywhere else.

What’s stored on your device

Badí‘ stores the place you chose, its time zone and when it was last updated. This stays on your device. It may be included in your device backups, depending on your backup settings. Deleting the app and its widgets removes it.

Children

Badí‘ doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
